The first generation of ALUULA materials entered the windsport market with Ocean Rodeo in early 2020 and transformed the industry. By reducing the weight of the products by up to 50% while also dramatically increasing strength and durability, ALUULA has enabled previously impossible product performance and shifted user expectations.
Ocean Rodeo is the first to debut ALUULA Aeris & Aeris X materials to market through the development of the first all ALUULA Composite windsport wing, the Glide AA-Series.
Featuring an Aeris & Aeris X airframe and a full Aeris X canopy, this wing pushes the boundaries of possibility and delivers the unparalleled performance the windsport industry has come to expect from ALUULA materials.
ALUULA Aeris fabrics combine the unmatched strength-to-weight ratio of the ALUULA Core with the toughest and strongest ultralight films available. This fusion results in a class of materials offering unrivaled strength, tear resistance, and abrasion resistance. Building upon the unmatched qualities of the Aeris material, ALUULA Aeris X introduces a proprietary X weave to the layup that adds additional reinforcement on the bias, leading to an astounding 6x higher bias strength, exceptional durability, superior UV resistance, and 6x the tear resistance when compared to competing canopy and sail fabrics. These materials are made entirely from a single polymer, and therefore are recycle-ready.
