Title: Junior Computer Virus Analyst (CARD436, CARD437)

Location: Burnaby, BC


We are looking for two junior Computer Virus Analysts with solid programming experience to join our team; we are looking for good communicators who are positive and always have the hunger to learn. Junior analysts will be enrolled in the AV Analyst training program and you can always learn from our experienced and talented team of engineers. If you have great interest in Network Security, why not start your career at Fortinet!


Job Responsibilities:

  • Replication and analysis of computer virus/malware
  • Development of virus/malware detection algorithms in proprietary description language
  • Handling of virus/malware related customers' inquiries and submissions
  • Preparation of documentation of virus/malware for publication on Fortinet website
  • Development of programs/scripts to assist in virus/malware analysis and replication


Job Requirements:

  • Solid Software programming experience
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience with scripting languages (Perl, JavaScript, VBS, Linux shell) and Intel x86 assembly language an asset
  • Highly motivated, positive and responsible; good team player with excellent communication skills who can work in a collaborative environment


Educational Requirements:

  • Diploma of Technology or Bachelor of Science in Computing Science or Electronic Engineering
