T-Net British Columbia originally introduced the T-Net 100 Awards Program™ in 1999 to recognize BC's top 100 technology companies and to benchmark overall growth in the BC technology industry.

The T-Net 100 honours BC's 100 largest private and publicly traded technology companies each year, as ranked by revenues.

The T-Net 100 is the only ranking of BC's top 100 technology companies by revenues, and includes technology companies

with headquarters located in BC only.

There are several other major technology companies which are not headquartered in BC, or who do not meet our inclusion criteria, but which nonetheless are major employers and contributors to the local technology industry. These companies include Electronic Arts Canada, IBM Canada, Raytheon Systems, Honeywell ASCa, Nortel Networks, Broadcom Canada Ltd. and many others. T-Net maintains a list of these companies on the T-Net 100 website.

To be eligible for inclusion in the T-Net 100, a company must meet the following requirements:

1.  Be a legally incorporated technology company with headquarters in BC

2.  Complete and submit the T-Net 100 Nomination Form no later than the Nomination Deadline

3.  Be among the 100 largest technology companies in BC, as ranked by revenues

4.  The Company must not have been declared bankrupt by a competent authority

5.  The Company must not have filed a notice of intent to file a proposal pursuant to the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act or any similar legislation in connection with the Company

6.  The Company must not cease doing business as a going concern or become insolvent or make an assignment proposal or reorganization for the benefit of creditors

7.  The Company cannot institute bankruptcy or receivership proceedings affecting the company or any of its assets

Note: The next version of the T-Net 100 Awards Program, and an updated ranking of BC's top 100 technology companies will be released publicly in 2009 (based on company financial data for the year ending December 31, 2008).
